Good evening fine friends. I would like to delve quickly into Anathema's latest album and how much of an experience it really is. I was driving from a big meeting and heard the first two songs and was blown away by the emotion in it. Talk about an emotional rock record with very proggy overtones. Did not see any strange signatures or real metal there. But, I did witness a very good ambient record that took my blood pressure way way down. A Distant Satellites is very good ear candy, and with a few stout lagers, would certainly blow us all away to oblivion.

Overkill and their 30th Anniversary.

Old thrash metal gods. Old heavy metal gods. Old dusty, shredding, long-haired heavy metal thrash gods Overkill are playing at Screamin' Willies next Monday, where I will be.

It's amazing to think that in 1992 I saw them on their ten year reunion tour in Hallendale, Florida down at the Rocket Club. Now, we are looking at 30 years, and these guys are hitting harder than ever before.

Why?

I think its because Bobby Blitz Ellsworth does not drink or smoke. He is the front, and they would not exist otherwise. He is going to be 50 YEARS OLD in the next few years, and he is taking care of himself.

I cannot say that for his eardrums however, as his screeches and godly vocal warblings are what makes one of the LOUDEST bands on the earth go! Electic Rattlesnake, the new album is amazing.

I am awaiting a three day barrage at Ft Carson, KY called the GOG. Gluttony of the Gods? Gorgers of Gluttony? Gorgeous ...nevermind that one.

My paisano's and I from Florida and other places are getting ready to party for three days and show how old and out of shape we are.

It is the first time I can remember seeing something like this in 15 years. The Cbus Dispatch poll has Kasich leading Strickland by almost 20 pts. This is astounding.

It is also funny, since Strickland upheld an appeal for a man's life who was sentenced to death last week.

The maniac killed a four year old girl and her mother several years ago, in cold blood to rob and murder them. The court sentenced him to death.

The governor decided that he didn't like the level of evidence handled by the prosecution, even though the governor believes the man is GUILTY.

Wow. Lets get the citizens with fam in the slammer to vote for him eh?
